When someone asks the question, “Where are you from?”, I cannot give a single line answer.
My name is MD Ramesh, my friends call me MD or MDR and at work, they often call me Murugesan. I expanded my initials to fit the western databases that were structured to capture a three part name. My first initial stands for my grandfather’s name Murugesan, then followed by my father’s name, Devarajan and then my name, Ramesh.
After quite a bit of reflection, I can say that my soul was forged in Mylapore, Madras, a small yet bustling city in coastal south Madras (Chennai), India. My heart warmed to the life in the Midwest, especially Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and now my mind is in Massachusetts, in the historical town of Acton, next to Concord.
My professional life can be glimpsed through my LinkedIn profile and on the personal side, my family consists of my wife, a daughter, son and a grandchild. I dabble in all sorts of things that pique my interest, be it technology, religion, philosophy, art, and above all music.
I can strum the guitar, can read musical notation, and listen to all musical genres that touches the heart or lightens the mood.
